Here’s a little more about each of our wonderful, helpful forum experts:

Nicole Munoz

After launching an ecommerce site, Nicole soon instead fell in love with SEO. So she shifted her energy and my talent into creating a company that could help others bring their sites to the front page. These days, her SEO company, Start Ranking Now, is the bulk of her business. She has 35 employees in eight countries and the business continues to grow.

Nicole says “I still have my ecommerce sites, but SEO is what excites me most. I love the challenge – the game of it. Friends asked me to help them and I did. Clients asked me to train their employees and I did. So now I’ve decided to take what I’ve learned over the past 7 years and share it with others through seminars, live events, and workshops. I guess I never really stopped being a teacher.”

Lisa Brown

Lisa has got hands on, real world experience with the things that make most people’s eyes glaze over. Geeky things like how apache/mysql/php can deliver a website’s frontend and knowing where to look when troubleshooting problems. Site things like organizing content and on-page SEO. Design things like using css and creating graphics. Hosting and domain things. All the things you need to run your website.

Lisa says “The best part? I really like to help others understand their sites so they can get more out of them. I’ve also do one on one teaching with clients, do webinars and workshops, speak at events, most recently at Pubcon South in Austin and have worked on curriculum for beginning web marketers. Topics include: WordPress, developing websites, blogging, SEO, hosting and internet marketing.”

Jane Bornhorst

Jane is currently communications director at a higher education institution in Washington, D.C. where she focuses on utilizing the Web to promote her organization’s programs and events. She’ll be helping our members with their social media questions and she’s smart and funny and everything you want in a social media helper!

Jane says “Everyone has heard the advice, “You should be on Facebook. You need to be on Twitter,” etc. But more important than being a part of these social media sites (and others) is how you use them. I’ll start by offering the one tidbit of advice that I hope you will take away from all of this: You should interact with your customers using your social media accounts OFTEN, and equally important, these interactions should be interesting, fun, and/or of value to your prospective customers! Believe it or not, this doesn’t have to be as time consuming as you might think. More about that later… So whatever it is you want to know, ask away!”
